June 2022 Reading Wrap Up!
Updated: Jul 7, 2022
Hello readers! Today I am going to be discussing all the books I read in June. June was a pretty good reading month for me, I finished 5 books! June was a very busy month for me, so I didn’t have too much time to read, but I was very motivated to read so every second I got, I read! Anyways, let’s get into talking about the books…
Most of these books I will be reviewing soon on here, so make sure to watch out for that :)

All Our Hidden Gifts - Caroline O'Donoghue - ✩✩✩✩/5
My first read of June was this witchy queer YA fantasy book, which is also the beginning of a trilogy. I honestly had a really fun time with this, it was really interesting and kept me hooked throughout the book. I really love the tarot card illustrations throughout the book, it definitely helped me understand the magic system a lot better. There were a few things that didn’t sit right with me, but overall it was a good time! I will most definitely be picking up the next two books.

Jay’s Gay Agenda - Jason June - ✩✩/5
I have got to hand it to this book, it has set a record in my reading journey! This is the lowest I have ever rated a book, believe it or not. I really did not like this book. The main character was just a narcissistic, selfish person who I did not get along with. I also felt that the plot was not only uncomfortable to read, but poorly written. I go more into deatil in my full review HERE

The Winner’s Curse - Marie Rutkoski - ✩✩✩✩✩/5
I absolutely adored this book! It has everything I love in a YA fantasy. Badass female main character, political intrigue, an immersive world, developed plot & characters, betrayal, and so much more! Marie Rutkoski is such a fantastic author and I can't wait to read all of her other books. I have already ordered the rest of the books in the Winner's Trilogy!

Seven Days In June - Tia Williams - ✩✩✩✩✩/5
Oh my gosh, this book was so good! All the hype around this book is completely and totally earned. The story is just so beautiful and has so many layers to it. I loved the characters, I felt like they were messy and realistic, and just so developed. Plus, Tia Williams is such a good author, I love her writing. This is the kind of book I will be rereading every single June because that’s just how much I loved it.

The Witch Boy - Molly Knox Osterang - ✩✩✩✩✩/5
I finished out June with this adorable graphic novel! It’s actually quite funny because I read a graphic novel by this author (The Girl From The Sea) last June! This was just so wholesome, and a really sweet story. As always, the art was so pretty, I absolutely love Molly Knox Osterang’s art style! This also addressed gender stereotypes & norms which I always appreciate. This was the perfect way to end my month.
Alright everyone! That’s all for what I read in June. What did you read in June? Comment below!
Thank you so much for reading and I’ll see you next time!
Xoxo,
Opal
