The Intimidating TBR Pile Book Tag

Hey lovelies! I am back with another book tag and because I am now on an official book buying ban (giveaways and ARC’s don't count!!) Because of how ginormous my TBR pile is, I thought this book tag would be perfect! Without further ado let's get into it!

1. Which book on your TBR have you not finished?

Girl, Serpent, Thorn by Melissa Bashardoust

I started this in a very impulsive manner about a month ago, and only got about 1 chapter in. I still want to read it but that was just not the right time XD

2. What's a book you haven’t had the time to read?

Renegades by Marissa Meyer

The only reason I have not read this is because it is so thick and a little bit intimidating! Plus, I am trying to make a dent in my physical TBR and I feel like a chunky book would take up too much time to read. I am very very excited to read this though, because Marissa Meyer turned me on to science fiction and I need more of her books!

3. What book have you not read yet because it is a sequel?

King's Cage by Victoria Aveyard

I’m not sure if this counts because it is the third installment in the Red Queen series, but I haven’t read it yet. Mostly because Glass Sword broke me and I know King's Cage will do the same. Plus Kings Cage is pretty chunky and a bit intimidating.

4. Do you have a book you haven’t read because it is brand new?

I mean….not really? A lot of readers are super delicate with their books and want to keep them in pristine condition. Don’t get me wrong, I will not go breaking spines or tearing pages, but I like books to look like they have been read. Especially my favorites!

5. Is there a book on your TBR pile that you're not in the mood to read?

Circe by Madeline Miller

There are honestly a lot, but this is one that comes to mind immediately. I feel like Madeline Miller’s books are so poetic and beautiful, which I absolutely adore, but I am just not in the mood to read as of now.

6. What book have you put off reading because it's huge?

There is a lot but I would have to say...Divergent by Veronica Roth. Yes, it is a very chunky book and it is a 3 ½ book series and I am already in the middle of a few series so…..

7. Do you have a book on your TBR you mostly bought because of the cover?

Once again, there are so many! Hands down I would say What Big Teeth by Rose Szabo. The cover is just so stunning! All I know is it is a YA thriller. For real though, you can’t tell me the cover is not fantasti

8. Which book on your TBR do you find most intimidating?

Shadow and Bone by Leigh Bardugo

I recently bought this and am so scared to read it! Mostly because it is so hyped up on booktok and booktube and I’m scared I will not like it or absolutely love it. Hopefully I will work up the courage to read it soon.
