This is one of the best books I have read in a long time. This was adorable, steamy and witty.

The Kiss Quotient by Helen Hoang is an adult romance novel that follows Stella Lane in her journey to master dating and relationships. Throughout her life she has struggled with this due to having Aspergers. This makes her react to events and situations differently than someone “normal”. To help deal with this, she hires a professional, Micheal Phan, an escort. They navigate this partnership as it becomes more than just that, showing that love is the best type of logic.

This book checked all the boxes for me. Helen Hoang has mastered the art of a romance book. This has easily made my top 3 for romance books. 100% worth all the hype!

There were actually a lot of characters and I expected to lose track of them all and be lost throughout the book. Quite the opposite ended up happening. I could list all the characters now, their purpose in the story and their individual arcs. All the characters were well developed, believable and realistic. They all went through their own stuff. I really liked the two main characters, Stella & Micheal! They were very likable to me. I also really disliked the antagonists of the story. Let me tell you, Helen Hoang knows how to write a character that makes me want to throw something!

The plot itself was also stunning. This book truly gripped me. I don’t want to give too much away for anybody who hasn’t already read this, BUT I loved Stella & Micheal’s “dates” and reading through all the romantic and sexual tension. It was so freaking good. Helen Hoang is a fantastic author and I will be buying more from her in the very near future.

Even more compelling about this story was Stella as a main character dealing with Aspergers and being on the spectrum. I loved the way that Helen Hoang wrote Stella, and never made it seem like Stella was worth any less than someone who was “normal”. I also loved how Helen Hoang made Micheal, her love interest, genuinely understand her and accept fully for who she is. I can tell that Hoang did her research on this, because Stella seemed to be right next to me speaking the words from the page during her chapters. It was crazily realistic, and I adored it.

The ending was perfect! There weren’t any plot holes, or any unanswered questions. It was a wonderful ending. Some books just do not end the right way and make me feel like a few pages are missing. Not this book.

Overall, this book was definitely worth all the hype it gets throughout multiple social media platforms. I adore it. I recommend this to anyone who is looking for a fabulous romance to make them swoon. Links to add this to your goodreads lists, and buy this book will be at the bottom of the post!
